Karate Tournaments
Karate tournaments at the Woodson YMCA are competitive events where members of the Black Belt Club travel to local and regional competitions to showcase their skills, test their progress, and earn rankings and medals.

Tyler has been making an impact at the Woodson YMCA since joining the organization in 2023. During his time with the Y, he has served in leadership roles including Assistant Director at Camp Sturtevant and Aspirus Member Experience & Assistant Program Director.
Prior to joining the YMCA, Tyler worked in education, coached high school basketball for eight years, and gained experience with a local sporting goods company. With a background working with athletes ages 3–21, Tyler is passionate about sports and youth development, helping young athletes build confidence, leadership, and lifelong skills through athletics.
