Water Exercise Classes

Did you know that a 30-minute walk in the water is equivalent to a two-hour walk on land? Water resistance offers an excellent opportunity for muscle toning and body sculpting. Water also cools the body during exercise, which reduces stress on the heart and reduces the risk of injury by lessening the impact on weight-bearing joints, muscles, and bones.

Welcome to the Woodson YMCA Pools

Our aquatics team works diligently to provide a safe, clean and comfortable swimming experience for all of our patrons.  We require everyone to shower before entering the pool and wear appropriate swim wear. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult in the water during open swim and any life jackets must be Coast Guard approved. Lap swimmers are expected to share lanes if lanes are full.
