The Landing serves a delicious lunch every Wednesday. Pre-order your lunch the Monday before.

During the winter months we offer soup-to-go with homemade bread every other week.

Our members often express how crucial moments of connection, whether through programming, exercise, or shared holiday meals, serve as lifelines.
Explore a diverse array of classes designed to cater to various interests. From expert fishing tips and religious/spiritual exploration to retirement planning and learning new crafts, sports, or hobbies, we provide a rich selection of options.
Join our vibrant book club or one of our card clubs, including Bridge, Cribbage and Sheephead. Engage in game clubs like Mahjong and Train Game, with new additions each month to keep the options fresh and exciting.
Ensuring independence for our 55+ community is a top priority, and we understand the significance of staying active through exercise classes, movement & balance sessions, and engaging activities like pickleball. Our Y offers a diverse range of classes every day to cater to various preferences.
Additionally, we provide live streams of our exercise classes directly to our members' homes. This way, they can maintain their mobility, stay connected, and enjoy the familiarity of friendly faces, all from the comfort of their own space.

Travel with The Landing
Whether your idea of travel is to head up north for the weekend, or to cross the globe for a week or two, we create opportunities to see the world with friends from The Landing.
Our trips take us to ball games, to live theater performances, and to lesser known sights across the state, as well as to other parts of the country and the world with guided group tours.
Executive Director The Landing
Julie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She worked in Long Term Care, providing service coordination for children with disabilities and the aging population. Julie is a native of Wausau and has a strong desire to support the aging population to find meaning, purpose, and connection.
