Black Belt Club - Unlimited Classes
Our Black Belt Club includes competitive karate levels from white to black belt. Each level focuses on solid basics and skill progressions while developing YMCA core values of respect, responsibility, caring and honesty. Team building activities are planned throughout the year in addition to tournaments.
Our competitive team travels to different tournaments throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states. Our WSKL competitive season begins with a Stevens Point tournament in March and concludes with the Battle of the Badger State. There are additional non-WSKL tournaments & NASKA/ISKA tournaments throughout the season for extra practice or an added challenge.
Practice is held in the Program Gym at the Wausau Branch in the evenings Tuesday through Friday, and on Saturday mornings or at the Aspirus Branch in the evenings on Monday and Wednesday. Being a member of Black Belt Club gives you access to any of these classes.
