Confidence in the Water
Swimming is a life skill as well as great exercise and a challenging sport. The YMCA offers swim lessons for all ages and abilities, options for private and semi-private lessons. Swim year-round in our heated, indoor pools and swim with the folks that created group swim lessons! We offer fitness classes in the water at both our branches. Check out the variety of options we have for staying active in our pools.
Come and try something new and FUN in our pool. Log rolling isn't just for lumberjacks! Learning to log roll will improve balance, agility and concentration, all while having a good time. This 45-minute class will follow a structured lesson plan to increase skills and development. Classes are open to ages 6- 16 years.

Lap Lane Information and Etiquette
Join a lane
When joining a lane, it is courteous to wave or temporarily stop a nearby swimmer to notify them of your presence in a lane. Also, be welcoming if a swimmer decides to join your lane. This is a great time to suggest splitting a lane or circle swimming.
Sharing a lane
1)Split a lane: Two swimmers agree to swim within one lane. One swimmer agrees to swim to the right side, and the other swimmer agrees to swim to the left side of the lane.
2) Circle Swim in a lane: Two or more swimmers agree to share a single lane, by swimming in a counter clockwise fashion on the right side of the lane.
