Instructor: Kerri Spromberg is a yoga instructor with RYT-500, which means she a Registered Yoga Teacher with 500 hours of yoga training. Kerri specializes in working with yoga poses and flows to aid in muscle and tension release. The idea is to provide a sequence along with our breath to loosen specific muscles that tend to be tight from athletic conditioning or general areas that typically cause pain such as the neck, back, hips, and shoulders. Poses can help lengthen muscles, lubricate joints and help detox and aid digestion. Kerri Spromberg also is certified in Trauma Informed Yoga with 140 hours of training. Trauma Informed Yoga helps balance the nervous system. With its emphasis on breathing practices and meditation—both of which help calm and center the mind. Yoga also brings mental benefits, such as reduced anxiety and depression. When you do yoga, your brain cells develop new connections, and changes occur in brain structure as well as function, resulting in improved cognitive skills, such as learning and memory. Yoga strengthens parts of the brain that play a key role in memory, attention, awareness, thought, and language.
