Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character, and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social, and educational activities.

Camp teaches self-reliance and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership - all amidst the fun of sports, theater, games outdoor adventure, talent shows, and meaningful relationships. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper.

At Camp Sturtevant, your child will experience a supportive community of young people and dedicated staff who work together to ensure each individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential through development of the spirit, mind, and body in an outdoor environment. The lessons learned and friendships forged at Camp Sturtevant will last a lifetime!

Our Woodson YMCA camp program has four physical locations that support the camp experience. Camp Sturtevant is our primary site, hosting

Day, Resident, Leadership and Schools Out camps. Some of our youngest campers experience camp through a combination of the Camp Sturtevant

(Kinder Kubs), Aspirus Branch (Ranch Camp) and Mosinee Satellite (Adventure Camp) locations.
