Child Care/ Mini Care
Mini Care Teacher (Part-time): The Aspirus YMCA is looking for someone who can make the Y’s Mini Care safe and fun for kids while parents in their life workout. Mini Care is now hiring for the right person or people to work varying hours, between 6 -12 hours, Monday - Saturday. Morning and evening shifts are avaiable. You will be responsible for keeping children, ranging 6 weeks to 7 years old, occupied and actively engaged in safe age-appropriate activities while family members take a break and work out. Mini Care staff must be at least 16 years old and previous child care experience and education is a plus but not required to start. Lead Teacher (Full Time): Looking for a great teacher who cares deeply about our children. The ideal candidate must have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related child care credential and be enthusiastic about supporting child care programs and our families. We are a licensed child care offering preschool programs, school age care and 4K programming. Teachers will exhibit the four core YMCA values of; Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Teachers lead our classes, assuring the physical environment supports healthy living. Benefits include medical, dental, YMCA retirement and YMCA household access. Assistant Teacher (Part-time): We have openings for assistant teachers within the child care. Shifts will be afternoon hours Monday through Friday. Previous child care experience is preferred but not required. Individuals must be the age of 18 and would prefer applicants to have Early Childhood One (ECE 1) or college classes related to Early Childhood or DPI Certificates. Senior Staff: Help us provide a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience. We are seeking individuals with a genuine love for children, camp and the outdoors. The ideal counselors will show initiative, leadership, and are a positive influence for our kids. Counselors for our Day Camp and Ranch Camp programs arrive around 7:15 am Monday through Friday and work until 5:30 pm each day. The programs are filled with fun, progressive activities that build confidence, and self-esteem for counselors and campers alike. Training fees are covered by the YMCA and you will receive Y membership with your employment. Working at camp is excellent training for any future profession. Locker Room Attendant
Men’s Locker Room Attendant (Part-time): We are looking for the right person with a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and is dependable to work in our Men’s Locker Room. There are daytime shifts available. This position’s responsibilities include laundry duties, light cleaning and customer service. Training is provided. Lifeguards (Aspirus, Wausau, and Mosinee): Bring your abilities and energy to work at the Y and be part of meaningful work as a YMCA lifeguard. We are your place for rewarding work that looks great on a resume! We have openings for lifeguards who complete our American Red Cross Certification courses or who are previously certified. Ages 16 and over. Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours are available. Hours are flexible and can fit any schedule. Starting pay is $8.75/hour. Individuals who are not certified as lifeguards are encouraged to stop by a Member Service Desk to register for our next lifeguard course.
Swim Instructors (Aspirus, Wausau, and Mosinee): We have openings for swim instructors at all three facilities. Morning, evening, and weekend hours are available. We will provide on the job training we are just looking for enthusiastic adults that have experience working with children and like to be in the water. Starting pay for swim instructors is $9.75. Individuals under the age of 18 must be certified lifeguards to serve as a swim instructor.

Youth Service Associate
Youth Lobby Attendant (Part Time): We are looking for individuals above the age of 16 who could engage kids in a happy, healthy environment. The ideal candidate would have some experience working with school age children although not required. Quality customer service is the main priority of the Youth Service Associate. The Youth Services Associate will courteously serve all members of the YMCA at all times, will support and enforce Youth Center rules with tact and courtesy and will hold the member in high regard. Duties also include keeping all equipment in good working order and ensuring communication to supervisor when items are in need of repair. Wage rate is $8/Hour.
