LIVESTRONG at the Y

PARTNERS IN HEALING THE WHOLE PERSON

LIVESTRONG at the Y is a free 12-week small group exercise program designed for cancer survivors who have become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. The goal of this program is to help patients build muscle mass and strength, increase flexibility and endurance and improve functional ability.

Learn how it works in this online brochure! Staff have been specially trained to work with cancer survivors to follow American College of Sports Medicine and American Cancer Society exercise guidelines. You will get individualized attention and an approach to recovery that targets the areas you need to rebuild.

Just as important, LIVESTRONG encourages a spirit of community, a comfortable place for you to build companionship with others affected by cancer and share stories and inspiration.  Session will run with a minimum of 8 participants, maximum 12 participants.
