BASEBALL

Sluggerball League (June- Aug. 2017)
A great introduction for boys and girls to learn “America’s Game.” YMCA Sluggerball offers two league options for your child to play in. The T-Ball League is for beginners to get a chance to hit the ball off a tee. Coach pitch league is for children to challenge themselves to hit a ball that is pitched to them by a volunteer coach. Throwing, catching, hitting and base running are among the many skills that will be taught.

FOOTBALL (Sept.- Oct. 2017)

Fall Flag Football -Thom Field
(Ages 4 years- 6th Grade)
YMCA Flag Football leagues provide players the opportunity to learn the basics of football in a developmental environment.  Leagues focus on having fun and teaching fundamentals.  This league will take place on Saturday mornings at Thom Field.
Ages: 4-K  @  9 a.m.
1-2 Grades  @  10 a.m.
3-4 Grades  @  11 a.m.
5-6 Grades  @  12 p.m.

Days: Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30, Oct. 7, 14, 21

BASKETBALL (Fall, Winter)

Y-STAR Thursday Night Basketball League
(4 yrs. – Grade 4)

Y-Star basketball is great for all skill levels. It is a time for kids to be taught skills and fundamentals of the game, also incorporating these skills while playing a game. Week 1 will be a team practice where kids will be taught; dribbling, passing, shooting and defense. Weeks 2-6, kids will be divided up into teams playing 5 on 5 games against different teams each week.  The first 10-15 minutes of each week will be team practice/warm up. Basketball hoops and basketballs will be adjusted properly for the different age groups. Team shirts provided to players before the first game.

4K- 5:00 pm
1st- 2nd Grade 6:00 pm
3rd- 4th Grade 7:00 pm
Grades 1-3 10 a.m.
