Active Older Adults

Here at the Woodson YMCA, we know that it’s so important that adults over age 55 continue to engage in fulfilling activities so they can enhance connections, decrease a sense of isolation, and improve overall well-being. Our exercise classes and organized physical activities, which are geared toward Active Older Adults,  promote fitness and good health while fostering friendships and camaraderie. In order to lead this area, we’ve welcomed Active Older Adults Director Becky Zelent.  beckyzwebIn addition to teaching several YMCA fitness classes, Becky will be leading outdoor adventures, day and overnight trips, hosting luncheons, coordinating socials & special events, and serving as Program Coordinator for LiveSTRONG, Silver Sneakers, and Silver & Fit.

•Gentle Stretch
•Wise Y Strength and Conditioning
•Strength Training
•Walking/jogging on indoor track
•Flexible Strength
•Chair Yoga
