Ages 6 Weeks through 6 Years Mini Care provides quality drop-in child care for your children 6 weeks through 6 years while you use the YMCA. Daily activities are offered, such as art projects, story time, free play, light snacks, gym time, and depending on the schedule, outdoor play on the playground, Music & Movement class and Toddler Time class. As Mini Care is not a full-time licensed child care facility, a child’s attendance is limited to a maximum of 2 hours per visit. Parents must remain in the building while utilizing Mini Care. LICENSED FULL-DAY CHILDCARE
Ages 6 Weeks – 6 Years NOW ENROLLING! Our well-rounded program is the best-choice for families who want their child to blossom cognitively, physically and emotionally in a warm and caring environment. Through an exciting curriculum and a focus on active learning, children learn indispensable life values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Children ages two and older participate in gymnastics, KinderSports and Music & Movement classes, while children ages three and older participate in swimming lessons and field trips as well! SCHOOL AGE CARE
Ages Kindergarten – 5th Grade Before school, children enjoy games, crafts, and a nourishing breakfast. After school, children can swim, play basketball, do crafts, have active healthy downtime, and homework help. Servicing Mountain Bay, Evergreen, Riverside, St. Mark’s, Weston and Rothschild Elementary Schools. Care is provided for snow days and schools off days throughout the school year with appropriate registration. Please refer to the YMCA Program Guide for further information.
Ages 3 – 6 years Our part-day preschool programs feature an exciting hands-on curriculum that introduces readiness skills and focuses on the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. All preschoolers participate in swim lessons, gymnastics, KinderSports and field trips. Scholarships are available based on financial need. We offer three different preschool programs to fit your family’s needs: a beginning preschool for 3’s and young 4’s, a multi-age preschool for 3 through 6 year olds, and a Kindergarten Readiness program for children who will be attending kindergarten the following year. D.C. EVEREST SCHOOL DISTRICT 4-YEAR-OLD LITERACY
The focus of this 4K program is reading readiness and preparing children for Kindergarten through play-based curriculum. Children are encouraged to explore the arts, science, music and movement, and engage in active play. Social and emotional development and reading readiness are key components Children must have turned 4 years old by September 1st of current school year. Please call the Child Development Office for times and availability. Busing to the Y is available for children in the D.C. Everest School District.
Looking for a place to take your child when school is out for the day? (Due to intercession, institute day, holiday or season break.) The YMCA Days Off Club provides children with fun-filled activities, while you are given peace of mind on both planned full day releases and early release days. Our caring staff will your child busy with sports, arts and crafts, games and swimming in an environment that is engaging, nurturing and safe. Snack is provided but students should bring a sack lunch, swim suit and towel. Member fee is $20, $30 for non-members for Early Release Days. Member fee is $30, $50 for non-members for Full Days Off. It’s 6 a.m. and it has just been announced that school is cancelled for the day. We have the solution that will please you and the children, the YMCA Snow Days Program! It’s a day of fun activity in a safe environment. A onetime fee will reserve your child a spot whenever school is called off because of inclement winter weather during the school year.
