WOODSON YMCA ASSOCIATION OPENINGS

Interpreter (Part-time): Seeking a specialist who provides interpreting for hearing impaired individuals who might enroll in lessons at the Y. Hours would vary, depending on need. WAUSAU BRANCH OPENINGS

Mini Care Teacher (Part-time): Help make the Y’s Mini Care safe and fun for kids while parents get in a workout. Mini Care is now hiring for the right person or people to work varying hours Monday – Friday 4 pm-7 pm and Saturday 8 am-1 pm. You will be responsible for keeping children, ranging 6 weeks to 7 years old, occupied and actively engaged in safe age-appropriate activities while family members take a break and work out. Mini Care staff must be at least 16 years old and previous child care experience and education is a plus but not required to start. Exercise Instructors (Part-time): We are now hiring group exercise instructors at our Wausau Branch. Work with our fantastic members! School Age Assistant Teacher: We have an opening for a school age teacher within the school age program. Shifts are either early morning (6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.) or afternoon shift (3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.). Previous  school age experience preferred but not required. Individuals must be at least 18 years of age and be flexible and outgoing. Lead Teacher (Full Time): Looking for a great teacher who cares deeply about our children. The ideal candidate must have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related child care credential and be enthusiastic about supporting child care programs and our families. We are a licensed child care offering preschool programs, school age care and 4K programming. Teachers will exhibit the four core YMCA values of; Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Teachers lead our classes, assuring the physical environment supports healthy living. Benefits include medical, dental, YMCA retirement and YMCA household access. Wage rate is $10- $13/hour depending on experience. ASPIRUS BRANCH OPENINGS

Building Supervisor (Part-time):  Building Supervisors help members in the YMCA feel engaged and welcome! Other responsibilities include: collecting towels, laundry, monitoring member activity, and keeping the facility clean. The hours of this position are every other weekend. AQUATIC DEPARTMENT POSITIONS

Lifeguards (Aspirus, Wausau, and Mosinee):  Bring your abilities and energy to work at the Y and be part of meaningful work as a YMCA lifeguard. We are your place for rewarding work that looks great on a resume! We have openings for lifeguards who complete our American Red Cross Certification courses or who are previously certified. Ages 16 and over.  Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours are available.  Hours are flexible and can fit any schedule. Starting pay is $8/hour. Pay increased to $8.50 after probationary period and completion of new staff orientation. Individuals who are not certified as lifeguards are encouraged to stop by a Member Service Desk to register for our next lifeguard course.

Swim Instructors (Aspirus, Wausau, and Mosinee):  We have openings for swim instructors at all three facilities. Morning, evening, and weekend hours are available.  Previous experience teaching swimming lessons is preferred but not required.  Ability to work with children is a must. Starting pay is $8.25/hour. Pay increased to $8.75 after probationary period and completion of new staff orientation. Individuals under the age of 18 must be certified lifeguards to serve as a swim instructor.

 MOSINEE SATELLITE OPENINGS

Water exercise instructors Part-time paid positions for the Mosinee Community Pool location. Openings to teach from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Training is available!
